(gone now: Massive auction of japanese console games and dev kits, including ten zillion designer console variants. Starting bid $100,000. )

SAND!:Holy shit. No. I just spent my last $50,000 on smack.

Dan:It's just as well; the armchair lawyers on slashdot are convinced that customs would seize most-to-all of that stuff before it ever saw US soil. Plus, those dev kits are technically still the property of the respective companies.

SAND!:However, why the hell do the japanese get all the cool stuff?

Dan:Because of the Bataan Death March?

SAND!: Sounds fair. We get our soldiers committing suicide by drowning themselves in outdoor latrines, and they get Hello Kitty Dreamcasts.

Dan: Was that as much fun to type as it was for me to read?

SAND!: I'm going to say "yes".
