5FoS: Tranquilizers pt. II
Thanks to the fantastic reference librarians, I was able to find out what they used for tranquilizers around 1900. I'm mulling over two options.
1. Chloral Hydrate
and
2. Curare
With the curare, I'd have to make some sort of artifical respirator to use on the victim, which could be cool. Chloral Hydrate would probably be a better choice from a "what would they really be using?" standpoint, though.

5FoS research:
Stationary steam engine
This is so awesome it makes my pee-pee hard. I think the brass and glass thing holds oil, and the thing with spheres on the left is some sort of governor.
Steam Boilers
Locomotive exhaust drawings
