San Diego Comic Con 2006

So, con was pretty great this year. Dawn and I roomed with Matt and Kelly Sue, who were kind and helpful people as always. I was able to talk to Eddie Berganza at DC, and will be sending him some superhero work soon, and hopefully will get some work with DC. I spoke with Ande Parks and Brandon Peterson, who gave me some great tips for slicking up my work for a more mainstream (read: Marvel/DC) audience. Jeremy Love passed on me and Sean Demory's Celestial pitch (keeping fingers crossed). Dan Curtis Johnson introduced me to Eddie, and it's looking like we are going to get going on a dark fantasy project that we had talked about last year.

Dawn had fun, except for when she got ill, and had to go find a doctor in San Diego. But she was better in a day, and was able to run around con getting her picture taken with Chewbacca and Stormtrooper Elvis.

A fan came dressed as Tesla from Five Fists, which was totally awesome, and he's supposed to send me pictures soon, as Matt only got a cell phone shot of him.

We shared the table with Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie, who were kings among men, but good Lord, I had some trouble understanding their Queen's English at times. I'm sure my midwestern accent, slurred speech and itermittent stuttering caused them no problems at all.
