Proof positive that I can be an incredibly mean spirited person.

I was reading my friends Sean's Live Journal account, and started following the account links of a few people who left comments. This took me here and then here.

The first two comments in the second link, esp. "Feelings are not something you should ever apologize for." made something snap inside of me and I typed this out..(but did not post it, because I wasn't that interested in actually being hurtful to said involved persons. Hopefully Live Journal doesn't give users referrer logs. :) )

Read the linked comments above (or at least the first several) before reading. Give you a sense of scene for where I was coming from. Disclaimer: While I "felt" this, I don't seriously mean it, because it was just to make a point, and I'm sure that the people I was making fun of/ranting at are fine people. As are Ren Fest people in general. Giants among Men, they are. I'm just letting my inner hate rage because platitudes like this drive me nuts.

"Oh for the love of..

What about the emotion that I'm having that you all are a bunch of community theater rejects that are regurgitating pop-psychology drivel at each other? Or is it only self-pity and drama-mongering that count as allowable emotions? Five will get you ten that when it's an emotion that lets Duchess Crimson McChesty make cluck-clucking noises about "Oh, my dear girl, aren't my life-experiences so enriching and educational, and my attitude so superior?", that its hunky-dory, but if this post was about the emotion of tearing one of you rennies a new asshole everyone would be singing a different tune. Good grief. "

Aaaand scene.
